Want some opinions on this hand I played. Flop is pretty nuts, but it felt kinda scary to give villian an extra card. Decided to checkraise here, but is that the best option?

Interesting spot. We don't like hearts, J, Q or 7 on turn, still it's less stuff than normal we have to be worried about on such a volatile board since we have a straight here.

Problem is opponent, we are out of position and that its a limped pot, so I assume we are here against a passive player and not sure if he will bet turn often enough so we can go for call flop and check-raise turn, which would probably be the best option vs active player. Versus active opponent I would probably prefer hands like sets and combo draws for checkraising on flop.

Another option would be to lead the flop and take control vs the usual passive limper. So if he is passive I would lead flop, if he is active I would call flop and plan check-raising save turn.

Check call isnt optimal line w ur bottom straight and f draw board imo. Donk bet or check raise can both be ok. As played I would check raise smaller f. example 5,5 bb or something for value and protection. Obv in that case u give him better odds if he is drawing but same time u maybe keep more wide weaker range and u r somewhat short and u easily build allin pot anyway on turn or river.

In these low buy-in games I would prefer leading myself, often getting value by hands that have very low equity vs us (we block none of the pairs which is very good). Also the protection in this case especially is nice, esp. without a heart. Would use rather big sizing given that I rarely bet in this spot and the turn is often such that the nuts and most of the strong hands change, for example 98 isn't too good of a hand on many turns anymore. So would bet 3-3,5bb here.

Given that we checked I like the bigger cr sizing here (such as this one) over the smaller one for kinda the same reasons I would like the big sizing when leading.

E: noteworthy: Without the flushdraw some of my points stated change a bit, but having 3 cards in a row is a superior factor in spots like this.
